GORILLLA TRACKING IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK, UGANDA
Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park is located in south-western Uganda, covering parts of Rukungiri, Kisoro, and Kabale Districts. It is situated in a hilly countryside, which, together with some remnant lowland forest outside the boundary, constitutes an important water catchment area for many rivers, supplying the agricultural land of the surrounding region. This is the richest forest in Uganda, in terms of the number of plant species, as the area is one of the few large expanses of forest in East Africa where lowland and montane communities merge. The valley bottoms contain a dense ground cover of herbs, vines, and shrubs with only a few trees hence its name, the impenetrable forest. This is one of the richest faunal communities in East Africa. There exists about one half of the world’s population of the endangered mountain gorillas. There are also several endangered species of birds with limited ranges.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival Entebbe Airport
Drive is 10 – 15 mins (Approx 10kms)
Arrival at Entebbe airport, Meet, greet with our company representative and transfer to your hotel in Entebbe after accomplishing all the immigration procedures.
O/N: Best Western Hotel, BB – Deluxe Room
Day 2: Flight Entebbe – Queen Elizabeth National Park, Boat Cruise, Evening Game drive
Flight is 3 hours
Breakfast at the hotel, Morning Flight Entebbe to Kasese. Your guide will pick you up and drive to Entebbe airport for your flight to Kasese. Upon arrival transfer to the lodge, lunch, afternoon Boat Cruise and evening game drive in the park.
O/N: Buffalo Safari Lodge, FB – Deluxe Room
Day 3: Flight Kasese to Kisoro, Batwa Community visit
Flight is 1-2 hours
Breakfast at the lodge, transfer to Kasese Airstrip and fly to Kisoro. Upon arrival, enjoy the ambience at the lodge and visit the Batwa community nearby the park in the evening.
O/N: Chameleon Hill Lodge, Full Board
Day 4: Gorilla Trekking
Morning Breakfast at the lodge
Transfer to the park headquarters for briefing. Briefing and Gorilla trek (carrying packed lunch) Later after trekking, enjoy the ambience at the lodge.

Day 5: Flight to Entebbe and Fly out
Flight is 1-2 hours
Morning Breakfast and transfer to the airstrip, Flight Kisoro to Entebbe, Fly back to Entebbe and connect to your onward flight.

Some options to consider below
- Plant & Animal Farm- this will be good if he likes dirt, crop harvesting, cattle, sheep and he should carry farm boots as well.
- Village Market visit including local craft center.
- Local/African Primary School or Orphanage visit – to find playmates, persons of his school going age and learn about the African Child (usually good for very social kids but not so sure for him). Parents can carry items for the school which the boy can distribute.
