The Lemosho Route offers adventurers a remarkable journey to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro, the highest peak in Africa. Spanning eight days, this route provides ample time for acclimatization and showcases Kilimanjaro’s diverse ecosystems and stunning landscapes.
Beginning at Londorossi Gate, trekkers traverse through lush rainforests teeming with wildlife, including colobus monkeys and exotic bird species. As the trail ascends, the scenery transitions to moorland and heathland, offering panoramic views of Kilimanjaro’s western slopes.
The route then leads trekkers across the expansive Shira Plateau, where the semi-desert landscape and towering lava tower create a dramatic backdrop. Along the way, climbers experience the thrill of scrambling up the Barranco Wall, with breathtaking vistas of the surrounding valleys and peaks.
